About the Kennels and Cattery
Holiday Home for Pets was started in April 1983 by Joe Gale and his daughter Caroline. It is still run by Caroline with the help of her caring and capable kennel assistants. The kennels and cattery are fully licensed and are regularly inspected by Teignbridge District Council. The emphasis in the kennels is on fun and every effort is made to make sure that your pet has a good holiday whilst here. Only 36 dogs and 24 cats are accommodated at one time. Keeping numbers small means each pet gets plenty of individual attention and, of course, lots of exercise. A vaccination card showing your pet has been vaccinated in the last 12 months must be produced. We do not accept pets that have been vaccinated within the last seven days.

Dogs Accommodation

Each dog has its own individual kennel which comprises of an inside sleeping area with immediate 24 hour access to an outside covered run. Exercise The exercise is varied and caters for each individual dogÕs tastes, but includes lead walks within our own beautiful grounds of over 30 acres and off lead exercise and ball games in our enclosed grass compound. All dogs are exercised several times throughout the day. Most days they get to go out 4-5 times (weather permitting). Your dog will be exercised and played with individually so ensuring that he or she gets plenty of attention. Each dog is groomed daily and given lots of affection and companionship throughout the day. Never at any time are they just left in their kennel for hours on end. Cats Accommodation Our new cattery has indoor and outdoor runs and thermostatically controlled heated beds. Each cat has its own individual indoor chalet and run with 24 hour access to an outside covered run. Cats from the same family can share in our family size pens. All cats receive lots of cuddles and attention and get groomed daily.
